The Story of SAL Foundation College
Sal Foundation College Inc, one of the four campuses of the SAL Foundation College system, was established on December 28, 2000, and became operational in June 2001. The former location was at Marhaban Center, Sultan Kudarat. Maguindanao but due to security reasons, it has moved to Parang. Maguindanao in 2006.
Already 23 years old in the SAL Foundation College System, Parang Campus has manifested remarkable changes not only in terms of population but also in infrastructure, school buildings, equipment, and modern facilities and program offerings. One of the mandated programs, Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCrim) is its flagship program. Bachelor of Secondary Education is another mandated course, that has consistently produced competent graduates who would register a high passing rate in the Board Exams, always surpassing National Passing percentage, just like BS Criminology. Currently, SALFC has added a course, a Bachelor of Elementary Education due to clamor among the Bangsamoro community.
SAL Foundation College has been a cornerstone of higher education in the BARMM region of the Philippines. With a noble vision to enrich the community by cultivating skilled professionals, the college has dedicated itself to fostering excellence in the fields of Criminology and Education. From its inception, SAL Foundation College recognized the critical need for competent law enforcement officers and educators in the region.
It answered the call by creating robust programs in Criminology and Education that not only meet national standards but also address the unique challenges and opportunities within BARMM. Over the years, the college has become synonymous with academic rigor and success, consistently producing passers who excel in their respective board examinations. Our graduates are known for their professionalism, ethical standards, and practical skills, making them highly sought-after in their fields.
SAL Foundation College’s commitment to community engagement and improvement has been unwavering. By providing an environment that encourages the development of critical thinking, leadership, and social responsibility, the college contributes actively to the growth and stability of the region.
As we look back on our cherished history, we also gaze forward to a future filled with promise. We remain steadfast in our mission to educate and empower the next generation of protectors and educators for BARMM and for the Philippines. Celebrating past achievements while embracing the challenges of tomorrow, SAL Foundation College continues to stand as a pillar of academic excellence and community service. To date, SALFC stands out among other campuses in terms of population rendering the highest/biggest income, thus enabling it to address the various needs of its students in Instruction, Research & Extension In no time at all, this campus will surely be producing graduates who will find themselves making waves names not only in this country but also in ASEAN community.
